Other Popular Seating Areas

  • Lower Level Corner Seating

Sections in the Lower Level Corner areas will keep fans close to the action, but with a further positioning from midfield, these seats will have a more affordable price tag compared to those in the Lower Level Sideline.

Each sections here has 56 numbered rows of bench style bleacher seating, starting with Row 3 at the front, and ending with Row 58 at the back. With the entry tunnels for most of these sections located lower at Row 16, fans in the back rows will have a longer walk to reach the seats. Sections 3 and 34 are the exceptions, and have their entry tunnels located closer to the top of the section near row 40.

With the players and team personnel lining the sidelines, views of the far end of the field can be difficult in the lower rows of these sections, so we recommend opting for seats in Rows 10-20 for the best overall views. Fans should also be aware that Sections 32-34 in the northwest corner are designated student sections, making these seats a louder, more rowdy atmosphere during a football game.

  • Lower Level Endzone Seating

Fans looking for the most affordable lower level ticket will find some of the best options in the Lower Level Endzone sections. Fans will have excellent views of scoring plays at the near endzone, but it will be difficult to make out all the details at the far end of the field, especially in the lower seating rows which do not have much elevation above field level.

Each section here has 56 numbered rows of seating, starting with Row 3 at the very front. At the South endzone (sections 17-21), entry tunnels are located near Row 16 which make for longer walks to and from the seats for fans in the upper rows. At the North endzone, the entry tunnels are located closer to the top of the section (near Row 40), which leaves the longer walk for fans in the front rows.

Sections 35 and 36 are designated student sections, making them among the loudest in the Stadium. Fans sitting in sections 1-3 should be aware of this because the concourse, restrooms and concessions will all be shared with hyped up students. Families with small children are encouraged to look in other areas of the stadium.

The Notre Dame players take the field through the tunnel beneath Section 1, and fans nearby will have a great view of the long-standing Notre Dame tradition of touching the "Play Like A Champion Today" sign.

  • Lower Level Sideline Seating

Lower Level Sideline sections are home to the best views for a football game at Notre Dame Stadium. Located on the lower seating tier and between the endzones, fans will enjoy the desired sideline viewing position and can also sit near the 50 yard line in Sections 10 and 28.

On the West sideline, the Home Preferred seating is located directly behind the Notre Dame sideline (Rows A-J in sections 26-30) and is the closest seating option to the home team. Conversely, visiting team fans can stay right by their team on the east sideline with seats in the Visitor Preferred areas (Rows A-J in sections 8-12). Both the Home and Visitor Preferred seats also offer chairback seating, and as the only areas with chairback seats, these tickets are always in high demand. Standard bleacher seating starts in row 18 behind these preferred sections.

With designated student seating located in the numbered rows (upper portion) of Sections 29-31, seats nearby will have a louder and more energetic feel. Seats on the east sideline will see more sun during day and afternoon games, while the west sideline sections will have more shade as the day progresses thanks to the shadow cast by the Press Box.

  • Upper Level Corner Seating

From the corners of the upper seating tier, these seats will have very good views of the near endzone, but from many sections here it may be difficult to follow all the action at the far end of the field.

Each section features 24 numbered rows of seating, with entry tunnels located near the front of the section. The first row of the section is actually row 4 due to the first rows to be reserved for accessible seating. All seats in this location are bleacher style without any back support.

Corner seats on the West side of the stadium will have closer views to the Notre Dame bench, and will have the sun at their back as late afternoon approaches. For colder games later in the season, fans may want to opt for seats in the East corners as these will keep you in the warmth of the sun for a longer period.

The video board is located behind the seats in the South endzone. Although the screen is visible to most sections, fans sitting in 132-134 and 104-106 will have more comfortable views. Sections 132-134 are also located behind the student section and band.

  • Upper Level Endzone Seating

With a seating position behind the uprights and on the upper seating tier, the Upper Level Endzone will have the furthest views of any seating area when the ball moves towards the opposite endzone. Given the less desirable viewing position, these sections are generally a good place to search for more affordable tickets for a Notre Dame football game.

Each section features 22 numbered rows of seating, with entry tunnels located at the front and a flight of stairs required for entry. For the best view of the videoboard, opt for seats in the north endzone (sections 101-103 and 135-136). Row 4 is the first row of bleacher seating located behind a reserved accessible seating walkway.

On early season day games sections 118-120 are most likely to receive shade at Notre Dame Stadium. For games later in the season, the opposite side of the field will remain in the sun the longest.

  • Upper Level Sideline Seating

With sideline views and a cheaper price tag due to their location on the upper seating tier, the Upper Level Sideline sections are a great option for fans that want a good view of the game without breaking the bank in the process. All seats in this section require a flight of stairs to access. The first row of standard seating is row 4 located behind accessible seating.

Located just above the lower level, these seats will still have very good sight lines to all the action, and do not feel as far as some other larger stadiums. Most sections have 22 numbered rows of seating, but with the Press Box taking up real estate on the West side, Sections 127 and 128 will be much smaller with just 12 rows of seating. These two sections are among the best options on the upper seating tier due to the smaller seating layout, midfield views, and higher likelihood of shade provided by the Press Box.
